Many founders begin by saying, 'I want an app.' That sentence is understandable, but it is incomplete. An app is a form. It tells us that users may interact with screens on a phone or browser, but it does not tell us how the product creates value, how money moves, how users return, or what operational systems are required behind the scenes.
